Who runs this

What's collected

• An anonymous device ID (a randomly generated UUID stored in your browser's localStorage). This is not tied to your name, email address, or phone number.
• Usage events: when a practice test or real-feel exam is started, finished, or abandoned; when an article is viewed; when you tap "Test yourself on this topic"; and any star rating or optional comment you leave.
• Standard technical data collected automatically by our hosting infrastructure (such as IP address and browser type) — this is normal for any website and not something we specifically request.

Why it's collected

To understand how the app is actually being used, so we know what to fix and what to build next. That's the only reason.

Lawful basis

We rely on legitimate interest — improving the service — as the lawful basis for this processing. We do not knowingly collect any sensitive personal data.

Where it's stored

Usage data is stored with Supabase, a cloud database provider.

Retention

Data is kept while the service is active, or until you request its deletion.

No sale of data

We do not sell your data to third parties. Full stop.

Your rights

Under Nigeria's Data Protection Act (NDPA 2023), you have the right to ask what data is held about you, request a correction, or request deletion. Email algotred.a1v1@gmail.com to exercise any of these rights.

Not for children

Algocare is intended for nursing and midwifery students preparing for professional exams. It is not marketed to, or intended for use by, children.
